Glykeria Fista is currently serving as a Teaching and Laboratory Staff at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She received a B.S. with a specialization in Agricultural Industries – Food Science and Technology from the Department of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1988 and a M.Sc. degree from the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2004. She also received an Educational Studies degree from the School of Education for School Teachers of Technical Education. In 1988 she worked for the Agricultural Insurance Organization of Greece and from 1988 to 1994 in the Milk Quality Improvement Program of the Hellenic Ministry of Agriculture. During the same time, she served as a part time lecturer in various Vocational Training Centers and Centers for Agricultural Education. From 1996 to 1997 she worked for the Hellenic Milk Organization and from 1997 to 1998 as an Associate Professor in Secondary Technical Vocational Education. From 1998 until now she is working at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is currently conducting the Laboratory Exercises for the courses of Food Processing and Preservation, Technology of Meat, Fish and Eggs and Food Engineering. She has published 4 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
