Samolada Maria

Samolada Maria is currently serving as Laboratory Assistant Teaching Staff at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She received a B.Sc. (1981) with specialization in Agricultural Industries-Food Science and Technology from the Faculty of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also received (1996) an Educational Studies degree from the School of Education for School Teachers of Technical Education.
She worked as a qualified agronomist for research programs for the Lab. of Dairy Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture (1982-1983) and the Milk Quality Improvement Program of the Hellenic Ministry of Agriculture (1985-1987). She also attended as a trainer to dairy producers’ educational courses in the Center for Agricultural Education. From 1987 until now she is working at the Department of Food Science and Technology. She is currently conducting the Laboratory exercises for the courses of Food Physical Chemistry, Food Chemistry II, General Microbiology Practices and Food Microbiology. She has published 4 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has composed the laboratory lecture notes for the courses of Food Chemistry II, General Microbiology Practices and Dairy Technology (for the Dept. of Animal Production).
In 2012 and 2019, she was responsible for the design and maintenance of the new website of the Department.
She is a member of the Organizing Committee of Scientific Meetings and Seminars held by the Department of Food Science & Technology (1998-).
